Therapy Dog Convocation

Carleton University celebrated the Therapy Dogs and their handlers on Thursday, March 7, 2024, with a Convocation event!

Each dog and their handler received a certificate of completion to acknowledge their contributions to Carleton’s mental health and wellness services. There are now 17 dogs in the program, offering visits across campus every weekday.

The Therapy Dogs help students manage stress, boost moods and provide connection to university staff and mental health services.

This program is one of the services offered by Carleton University as part of a full suite of wellness tools and services. Students in need can always access free, confidential support through a range of resources.
