Welcome to the Wellness Desk!

The Wellness Desk is a unique drop-in space where students can connect with trained staff, learn about available resources and access support for their mental health and well-being. The program is designed to help reduce barriers to care and encourage open conversations about mental health and wellness in a familiar space.

Whether you’re looking for information, exploring support options or simply need a place to pause and decompress, the Wellness Desk is here to help.

What to Expect

When you visit the Wellness Desk, you can:

  • Connect with trained Wellness Desk staff
  • Use grounding and mindfulness tools
  • Develop skills and strategies that support well-being
  • Access a calm, safe and inclusive environment

Sometimes life and school can feel overwhelming, and it may be difficult to know where to turn for support. The Wellness Desk Team can help you explore available options and connect with resources that align with your needs.

The Wellness Desk is also a welcoming space to take a break, decompress and focus on your well-being.

Our Location

Visit the Wellness Desk in Room 204A of MacOdrum Library, a welcoming drop-in space located on the same floor as the main entrance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?

No. The Wellness Desk operates on a drop-in basis. Students can stop by at any time during operating hours.

Please note that another student may already be using the space. If so, we ask that you knock before entering and be respectful of others using the space.

Does the Wellness Desk provide counselling?

No. The Wellness Desk does not provide counselling services.

The Wellness Desk Team can help you explore available support options, including counselling services both on and off campus. If you are looking for counselling, visit Counselling Services or speak with a Wellness Desk team member to discuss available options.

Can I study in the Wellness Desk?

The Wellness Desk is not intended as a study space and students are not permitted to work on course assignments within the space. However, students are welcome to stop by to relax, decompress and use the wellness tools and resources available.

Can I volunteer at the Wellness Desk?

The Wellness Desk is not currently recruiting volunteers. Future opportunities may become available, so students are encouraged to stay connected for updates.
