Shelby Van Holland is a campus minister with the interdenominational Christian non-profit the Navigators, where she helps guide students through the questions they have about Jesus and how to live a life with Him. In Ottawa, she and the Navigator community aim to connect students with Bible studies and other students who want to learn more about Jesus, emphasizing the importance of mentorship. She has specific strengths in sitting in the hard questions, making spaces welcoming and safe for anyone with any faith background, and having authentic conversations that reflect what it means to know Jesus. Her undergrad studies focused on Forensic Anthropology and Archaeology, where she found how science and God can be compatible and show God’s beauty in His creation.
